2012 Keynote Speaker, Amy Greene is a National Best Selling Author with her book, Bloodroot.
Amy's book captures the majesty, warmth and austerity of Appalachia. Amy was born and raised in the foothills of East Tennessee's Smoky Mountains, where she lives with her husband and two children. We are excited to bring Amy home to our mountains.

Writers will learn to hone their skills and expand their markets at the next Blue Ridge Writers’ Conference.
The 2012 Blue Ridge Writers' Conference will be held the last weekend of March 30th and 31st in Blue Ridge, Georgia at The Art Center. A reception on Friday, March 30th, will be open to the public, and will feature a book fair where many local authors will have books available f "It's a mini vacation with a learning experience tied in." or sale. Festival attendees can enjoy an art town experience through the many interesting activities provided by our unique downtown: Community Theater, many shops & galleries, the Scenic Railroad plus the beauty of our mountains.
The Richard Low Evans Gallery willl open a watercolor exhibit by Billie Mathis March 30, 2012. The exhibit will remain on display through April 27, 2012. Click to find out more about Billie's work!
In the John & Evelyn Branch Gallery, the Art of Estelle Schwarz and Janet Smith (a mother & daughter artist team), our 2nd quarter Artists-In-Residence will be showcased.
Registrations Information:
Early Bird registration – before March 1 is $60. Beginning March 1, registration will be $70. A reception will be included Friday evening, March 30th, and lunch will be provided during the conference on March 31st. Some critique services will be available.
